From my flat window.

I am often spoilt with the most beautiful skies viewed from my flat window. Before my working day, with a cup of tea in hand, I often stare out amazed at what I see.  The skies stun and hypnotise, create a feeling of calm and contentment.  A simple pleasure that makes me realise, how lucky I am to retire each night and wake to such a magnificent view.

New Year. New Photography Workshop.

Recently following Some Cities on twitter, I couldn't resist signing up to attend one of their workshops, with the incentive to "start the New Year as you mean to go on"  welcoming 2014.

Spoilt for choice I decided to start with the Some Cities: Introduction to Analogue (Black & White) Photography 8 week course.

I was encouraged to participate  due to reading their motivating website page:

Three Fabulous Words....Sims, Shoes and Sale!

A regular visitor of Birmingham's Great Western Arcade, I often find myself hypnotised by the 'chocolate' footwear selections, beautifully displayed in Sims shoe shop window. I have resisted temptation on numerous occasions,  and simply appreciated the art footwear and returning for regular views to satisfy my wait while saving.  I have been extremely disciplined during the New Year sales promising myself two treats of new footwear to enjoy.
